Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, Front-End - Amman, Jordan

Seesaw, trusted by 25 million educators, students, and families, seeks a Senior Full-Stack, Front-End focused Engineer to enhance its platform. This role involves building localized and regionally relevant product experiences for students, teachers, and families in the MENA region. The engineer will work within the International Team, focusing on expanding Seesaw's presence in key growth markets by increasing adoption in private education sectors. They will enhance platform accessibility through language support, develop features that align with regional educational needs, and improve integration with private education institutions.Seesaw's product engineering teams are responsible for end-to-end development, meaning the engineer will work across the stack— but in this role, they will primarily focus on optimizing front-end user experiences. Their contributions will directly impact how educators, students, and families around the world engage with Seesaw.Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the product, design and engineering teams to deliver user-facing products at scale quickly
• Contribute to an iterative development process to deliver new features that students, teachers, families, and school administrators love.
• Full-stack software development for our web app (React) and backend (Python / DynamoDB / ElasticSearch).
• Help develop a strong technical roadmap and engineering culture through design proposals, industry engagement, and more.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience developing and shipping features across a frontend and backend stack (front-end emphasis).
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals - a bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent experience (bootcamps + non-traditional background are great too!)
• Direct experience designing, developing, and maintaining software at scale.
• Strong command of modern web technologies, including at least one SPA framework. (React, Angular, Vue, etc.).
• Experience developing and using REST APIs or GraphQL.
• Comfort working within complex systems and ability to write readable, maintainable self-documenting or well-documented code to solve complex problems with simple, elegant solutions.

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with React, Python, and/or AWS (specially DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, S3, SQS, and Lambdas)
• Experience with localization and/or internationalization, including adapting products for different languages, cultures, and regional requirements.
• An inherent product sense with a focus on user experience.
