Job Description

Workato, a leader in enterprise orchestration, is seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join their expanding team. This role is based in Warsaw, Poland, where the successful candidate will contribute to building API interfaces and backend infrastructure. The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with UI, connectivity, and DevOps teams to develop effective solutions for complex challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Building complex Ruby on Rails applications.
  • Building server-side infrastructure for the Workato user interface.
  • Contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle.
  • Writing well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
  • Evaluating and proposing improvements to the existing system.
  • Supporting continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies for architectural review.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience (5+ years) in developing, shipping, and maintaining Rails applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of Ruby.
  • Excellent debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and social skills.
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming and design.
  • Experience with Redis/Memcache based caching and RDBMS engines (Postgres).
  • Contributions to open source projects are a plus.
