Job Description
Workato is seeking a Senior Rust Software Developer to join their team. This role is based in Athens, Greece. The Senior Rust Software Developer will be responsible for building new products within the company, developing new code with Rust alongside existing Go/Ruby code, and creating and driving Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to production. Workato is known for its enterprise orchestration platform, helping businesses streamline operations by connecting data, processes, applications, and experiences.
  • Building new products inside the company
  • Develop new code with Rust, and work with existing Go/Ruby code
  • Create PoCs in new areas and drive them to production
  • 2+ years experience writing, shipping, and maintaining Rust code in a production environment
  • Experience with higher-level languages (Ruby, Python, Go, JS, Java, etc.)
  • Knowledge of basic data structures and algorithms, multiprocessing, memory management
  • Experience developing high-performance asynchronous applications with Rust (preferably tokio)
  • Good understanding of network protocols and stacks
  • Good understanding of DB technologies: classic databases and modern no-SQL
  • Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
  • Understanding of Linux environment
  • Readiness to work remotely with teams distributed across the world and timezones
  • Spoken English (at the level enough to pass the technical interview and later work with colleagues)
