Database Administrator at Rimes Technologies

Rimes, a provider of enterprise data management solutions, is seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain databases. The DBA will ensure the integrity, performance, security, and availability of databases, and optimize database systems for efficiency and scalability.Responsibilities include:

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining database management systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
• Monitoring database performance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing queries for efficiency.
• Implementing and maintaining database security policies, including user access controls and encryption.
• Performing regular backups, restorations, and disaster recovery planning.
• Developing and managing database scripts, stored procedures, and automation processes.
• Ensuring data integrity, consistency, and high availability.
• Collaborating with MS and PS teams to optimize database structures and queries.
• Managing database migration, upgrades, and patches.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• Staying updated on the latest database technologies and industry best practices
• Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of database management systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
• Proficiency in database design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with database backup and recovery strategies.
• Understanding of indexing, replication, and partitioning techniques.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
