Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Rimes Technologies

Rimes Technologies is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join its global Technology team. Rimes provides enterprise data management solutions to the global investment community, serving leading institutional investors, asset managers, and service providers. The Infrastructure Team is central to ensuring Rimes' technology is innovative, reliable, performant, scalable, and secure, delivering a world-class customer experience.

The role involves participating in architectural decision-making, mentoring junior engineers, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and driving the adoption of best practices in infrastructure management. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will build systems and implement innovative technologies to support the next generation Rimes platform in the Data Center and the Cloud.

What this role involves:

• Participating within our team of Engineers in best practices’ e.g. Three pillars: Reliability, Observability and Recoverability
• Participate in projects for new Infrastructure Services
• Optimize data center Infrastructure to improve performance, utilisation, availability and security, whilst controlling costs
• Maintain observability best practices to measure compliance with Rimes SLO’s
• Implement efficient monitoring systems to measure performance and reliability of production systems
• Participate in Capacity and Performance planning

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience of supporting physical Datacenters, Hardware, O/S and networks
• Knowledge of VMWare virtualisation
• Demonstratable knowledge of Windows Server 2019/2022
• Databricks knowledge
• Azure knowledge or accreditation
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Network knowledge
• Experience in building production systems to support SaaS and Data delivery
• Good communication skills especially the ability to communicate across teams and participate in incident management
• Competent problem solver
• Datadog / Monitoring tools
