Job Description

Memac Ogilvy is seeking a Strategy Director to join their team in Qatar. The Strategy Director will play a pivotal role in shaping impactful strategies that drive societal, cultural, and business impact for the agency's clients. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong foundation in strategic planning and a deep understanding of research methodologies. The Strategy Director will report into the Chief Strategy Officer, MENA, and to Ogilvy Qatar Managing Director.

The role involves:

  • Leading strategy for existing clients and new business pitches.
  • Establishing break-through thinking that helps to create disproportionate impact.
  • Forming a deep knowledge of how your clients work and what drives their brand and commercial operations.
  • Applying deep knowledge of strategic frameworks and concepts from brand positioning to customer journeys on a range of client problems, writing briefs that inspire creatives
  • Being an inspirational leader on all brands, trusted by colleagues and clients.
  • Spotting proactive opportunities that deliver fame and fortune for both client and agency.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in strategic planning, especially strong omnichannel strategy experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related fields as a minimum.
  • Experience of working within a fast-paced communications agency.
  • Demonstrated talent for lateral thinking, spotting trends and patterns, an innate curiosity and insight into human behavior.
  • Strong track record in delivering pitch-winning strategies.
