Distinguished Engineer

Job Description

iSpot is seeking a Distinguished Engineer to provide technical leadership and drive the architecture and design of iSpot’s data measurement platform. The Distinguished Engineer will be a hands-on leader and strategic thinker, setting the technical direction for the company.

The role involves:

• Defining and implementing a technical vision for iSpot’s measurement and data processing platform.
• Leading the design of core architecture to support real-time data ingestion and large-scale analytics.
• Collaborating with engineering and product leaders to align technology strategy with business goals.
• Identifying and addressing complex technical challenges in high-volume data processing and cloud infrastructure.
• Serving as a mentor and role model, guiding engineers in best practices for coding and design.
• Working closely with the data science team to enhance methodology and data accuracy.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in software engineering.
• Proven experience designing and scaling complex data-driven systems.
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with modern data storage solutions (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Track record of mentorship and ability to influence teams.
• Familiarity with ad tech ecosystems.
