Workato is seeking a Staff Java Engineer to join their Data Integration team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with Product Management, CCE, and Infrastructure teams to deliver data integration features.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with senior management to align engineering goals with company objectives.
  • Driving the execution of the Data Orchestration roadmap.
  • Coordinating cross-team projects and ensuring smooth collaboration.
  • Researching and introducing new technologies and best practices.
  • Supporting the growth of other engineers through knowledge sharing and mentoring.
  • Improving backend reliability.
  • Performing code and architecture reviews.
  • Contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
  • 14+ years of industry experience.
  • Technical leadership experience.
  • Experience with cross-team communication and project delivery.
  • Proficiency with Core Java.
  • Experience with Relational Databases, SQL, and JDBC.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with public cloud infrastructure providers.
  • Experience with high-load/big-data projects.
