Job Description
Dr. Squatch is seeking a Sourcing Manager, Raw Materials to develop and execute sourcing strategies for raw materials. This role ensures cost efficiency, quality, and supply chain reliability through supplier negotiation, risk management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The position reports to the Director of Procurement and is based in Marina del Rey, CA.
Role Involves:
- Developing and implementing sourcing strategies for raw materials.
- Conducting market analysis to track pricing trends and potential risks.
- Identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new suppliers.
- Negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers.
- Managing raw material deliverables using Monday.com.
- Maintaining strong supplier relationships and monitoring performance.
- Assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and inventory planning.
- Collaborating with R&D, PD, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
- Streamlining procurement processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in raw materials sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, sustainability practices, and market trends.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in running raw material Requests For Proposals (RFPs).
- Experience in sourcing oils and fragrances preferred.
- Experience in the personal care, cosmetics, food, pharmaceuticals or chemicals sector preferred.
- Understanding of raw material formulation and quality standards preferred.
