Highnote is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to design, maintain, and optimize the infrastructure that powers its platform.

The Site Reliability Engineer will ensure reliability, performance, and security across Highnote's environments and manage incidents.

They will collaborate with various teams to uphold best practices and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an on-call resource for infrastructure and security teams.
  • Coordinate and facilitate incident response including leading root-cause analyses.
  • Monitor and review key performance metrics.
  • Optimize databases for enhanced performance and reliability.
  • Propose and implement improvements in performance testing frameworks.
  • Oversee monthly security updates and patches.
  • Participate in defining and implementing core infrastructure improvements.
  • Lead the design and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement automated testing, build pipelines, and deployment strategies.
  • Develop tooling and automation to improve service scalability, availability, and reliability.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with Kubernetes (K8s).
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or AWS.
  • Working knowledge of Spanner or Postgresql, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB.
  • Proficiency in Python or similar languages for tooling and automation.
  • Experience setting up and managing GitHub Actions or similar pipelines.
  • Familiarity with tools like Datadog or similar.
  • Experience with Terraform or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience with ghz, Artillery, JMeter or similar tools.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate complex ideas clearly to various stakeholders.
