Software Engineer, Core Services at Highnote

Highnote is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Core Services Team in Amsterdam. The Core Services Team is responsible for building common application services and libraries, supporting application tooling needs, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and quality of Highnote products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, particularly in Java and Spring Boot, and experience with cloud platforms and distributed systems.

What this role involves:

• Building secure and compliant platform products that solve customer needs
• Writing high-quality and robustly tested code, mostly in Java
• Understanding customer problems to build the right solutions
• Documenting your work to support rapidly-scaling company
• Interfacing with a variety of the company’s domains to strengthen the platform

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience building production software systems
• A history of writing scalable, performant, and maintainable code
• Experience building out common platform libraries
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot/Spring Framework, GCP services, and understanding of OAuth
