Software Engineer, Service Infrastructure

Job Description

Highnote is seeking a Software Engineer for its Service Infrastructure team. This role is based in San Francisco and focuses on building tools to enhance engineering productivity and software delivery.

Highnote, founded in 2020, is an embedded finance company that provides a modern card platform management system. It offers digital-first organizations the ability to issue and process payment cards, incorporate virtual and physical card payments, and integrate ledger and wallet functionalities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend or infrastructure engineering and a passion for improving developer productivity.

What this role involves:

• Managing and building tools for development and CI/CD infrastructure.
• Driving technical projects from planning to execution.
• Developing high-quality software using Python, Java, and Shell.
• Building relationships with engineering teams to improve workflows.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of backend/infrastructure engineering experience.
• Experience with Developer Productivity (CI/CD, Docker, test frameworks, build tools, IDE Plugin development) or GCP Cloud (Spanner, Pub/Sub, Kubernetes) technologies.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, and Bash scripting.
