Software Engineer

Highnote, founded in 2020, is an embedded finance company providing digital-first organizations with payment card solutions. They are seeking a Software Engineer to join their team in San Francisco. This individual will be responsible for building secure and compliant platform products. Highnote emphasizes customer obsession, executional excellence, and intentional inclusion. This role is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

What this role involves:

• Building secure and compliant platform products that solve customer needs
• Writing high quality and robustly tested code, mostly in Java
• Understanding customer problems to build the right solutions
• Documenting work to support rapidly-scaling company
• Interfacing with a variety of the company’s domains to strengthen platform

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience building production software systems
• A history of writing scalable, performant and maintainable code
• Excitement about shipping customer centric software
• Experience with Java >= 11, JPA ORM mapping, Crafting SQLs, unit and integration testing
