Data Solution Architect

Job Description

The Dot Collective is seeking a Data Solution Architect to play a major role in building out a fully-fledged Data Architecture practice. The company is a new generation consultancy based across the UK and EU, founded on the premises of engineering excellence. They work with modern tech stacks and typically run agile scrum on all their projects.

The successful candidate will work with technical teams, help customers articulate requirements, and design and build data platforms. The role involves understanding modelling data, modern data governance, Microservices, and Serverless architectures.

Responsibilities include:

• Clarifying and refining architecture to maintain consistency during delivery.
• Describing the structure and behaviour of applications, focusing on their interactions.
• Helping customers articulate requirements and formulate suitable solution architectures.
• Designing and building data platforms.
• Understanding of Microservices and Serverless architectures.
• Explaining complex technical solutions to a non-technical audience.

Requirements include:

• Proven experience of designing and building data platforms.
• A strong understanding of modelling data and how to make data work at scale.
• A grasp of modern data governance.
• Knowledge of open source, open standards, and cloud technologies.
• Understanding of architectural concepts, methodologies, and approaches.
• Experience of both traditional and agile delivery methods.
