Appfire is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to join the Administration Tools team. The role will be based on a hybrid model in Sofia, Bulgaria. Responsibilities include:

  • Working on top apps for Atlassian Jira.
  • Implementing features for products that users love.
  • Participating in the entire process from conceptualization to development and testing.
  • Fixing defects, writing automated tests, and maintaining codebase quality.
  • Automating processes and contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Working independently and as part of a team.
  • Providing mentorship and sharing knowledge.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience with Java or similar languages/technologies.
  • Experience with OSGi, EMF, Spring, Dependency injection (Guice), REST, ORM, multi-threaded programming, design patterns, JUnit, Jira, Git, Scrum.
  • Experience with web front-end technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
