Senior Fullstack Engineer (with Backend focus) (f/m/x) - Marketplace Team

Job Description

CarOnSale is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer with a Backend focus to join their Marketplace engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience building solutions end to end and a breadth of experience. Despite the backend focus, the engineer will be constantly challenged to build and maintain features from start to finish.

The role involves:

• Mentoring less experienced engineers
• Identifying and defining technical and product requirements
• Designing development processes (CI/CD) and standards
• Leading and supporting engineering processes
• Moderating team sessions
• Providing technical feedback to team members

Requirements include:

• At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering (Backend and Frontend)
• Previous experience in coaching and mentoring engineers
• Hands-on mentality towards technical and organisational challenges
• Native speaker of TypeScript
• Familiarity with technologies such as Node, NestJS, Angular, and PostgreSQL
• Experience with modern SCM, Build & Release Tools (Git, CI, Docker, etc.)
• Practical experience with agile development frameworks like Scrum or Kanban and tools like JIRA Confluence
• Excellent English communication and relationship-building skills
