Cost Controller (w/m/d)

Job Description

IONOS is seeking a Cost Controller to join its Controlling team in Karlsruhe, Germany. The company is a leading European provider of cloud infrastructure, cloud services, and hosting services. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the IONOS Cost Controlling, with a primary focus on managing variable costs such as license fees, domain costs, and energy expenses. This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to key business decisions through detailed analysis and reporting.

Role Involves:

• Conducting monthly and quarterly closings, creating target/actual comparisons, and performing variance analyses for assigned cost types.
• Generating sophisticated company-specific evaluations and ad-hoc analyses for reporting to the Executive Board and Supervisory Board.
• Serving as a contact person for management in the budgeting and forecasting of costs for their area of responsibility.
• Managing compliance with the Group's transfer pricing policies and coordinating intercompany settlement processes.
• Supporting the advancement of planning and controlling tools, including KPI development and process optimization.

Requirements:

• A degree in economics, preferably with a focus on finance or controlling.
• Ideally, initial professional experience in controlling within a company and/or an auditing or consulting firm.
• Passion for the job and enjoys working with numbers and KPIs.
• Initial experience with HGB and IFRS accounting standards and is eager to learn various reporting tools and IT systems (Excel, ERP, TM1).
• Pragmatic, well-structured, and goal-oriented and enjoys working in a team.
• Fluent German and English as well as very good MS Office skills.
• Initial experience with SAP is an advantage.
