Job Description
IONOS is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join their Managed Kubernetes Team in Berlin. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of IONOS's Managed Kubernetes product, serving both internal teams and external clients. Role Involves:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native applications in Golang (Kubernetes Operators, REST APIs, libraries).
- Designing and implementing new features to enhance the Managed Kubernetes offering.
- Contributing to the advancement of the service architecture and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
- Developing and maintaining the complete DevOps toolchain (Helm Charts, GitHub Actions, GitOps workflows).
- Creating and maintaining Kubernetes Operators, Controllers, and Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs).
- Implementing monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions for Kubernetes workloads.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve platform reliability and performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with Kubernetes in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in Golang development with a track record of delivering production-ready code.
- Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) or private cloud infrastructures.
- In-depth understanding of Kubernetes architecture, API resources, and extension patterns.
- Proficiency in using Helm and other Kubernetes package management tools.
- Experience designing and implementing Kubernetes Operators and Controllers.
- Expertise in container orchestration, networking, and security principles.
- Experience with Observability Stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, etc.) for monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration.
- Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
