Senior Software Engineer (w/m/d) Database as a Service (DBaaS)

Job Description

IONOS, a leading European provider of cloud infrastructure, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in developing Database as a Service (DBaaS) products. The role involves collaborating within diverse teams in a friendly environment and contributing to a company committed to growth and innovation.

The Software Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of IONOS' cloud-based database services. He will work within a team of engineers to create scalable, secure, and high-performance database systems that meet customer needs.

Role Involves:

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based database services.
• Collaborate with teams for product delivery.
• Work with DevOps to ensure seamless DBaaS operation.
• Develop new features, fix bugs, and optimize performance.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Write clean, efficient code in Go, Python, and Bash.
• Develop and maintain automated tests.
• Stay updated with industry trends.

Requirements:

• 3+ years in software development, preferably in cloud computing or databases.
• Proficiency in Go or Python.
• Experience with database management systems.
• Experience with agile development methods (Scrum or Kanban).
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
