Bookability Architect at Groupon

Groupon is seeking a Bookability Architect to design systems that seamlessly integrate third-party booking tools with Groupon's platform. The role involves empowering merchants, simplifying the sales process, and enhancing customer satisfaction. The Bookability Architect will lead the architecture and implementation of systems in the bookability domain, collaborate with product managers, enhance platform performance and stability, mentor junior engineers, and uphold tech culture principles.

The role involves:

• Leading the architecture and implementation of systems in the bookability domain.
• Collaborating with product managers to refine project requirements and drive solutions.
• Enhancing platform performance and stability across teams.
• Mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
• Upholding and improving tech culture principles.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of experience in software development with a focus on merchant and consumer-facing products.
• Strong coding skills (Java, Python, Ruby).
• Familiarity with AWS and GCP cloud platforms.
• Experience with microservices and service-oriented architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a team player.
• Experience integrating third-party booking tools (Bonus).
• Willingness to travel internationally (Bonus).
