Bookability Architect

Job Description

Groupon is seeking a Bookability Architect to design systems that seamlessly integrate third-party booking tools with Groupon's platform. The successful candidate will empower merchants, simplify the sales process, and enhance customer satisfaction. This role involves leading the architecture and implementation of systems in the bookability domain, collaborating with product managers to refine project requirements, and enhancing platform performance and stability across teams. The Bookability Architect will also mentor and guide junior engineers and uphold and improve tech culture principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and implementation of systems in the bookability domain
• Collaborate with product managers to refine project requirements and drive solutions
• Enhance platform performance and stability across teams
• Mentor and guide junior engineers

Requirements:

• 12+ years of experience in software development with a focus on merchant and consumer-facing products
• Strong coding skills (Java, Python, Ruby)
• Familiarity with AWS and GCP cloud platforms
• Experience with microservices and service-oriented architecture
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a team player
