Chief Information Security Officer at Groupon

Groupon is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead the company's security efforts and ensure a secure future for its business, employees, and customers. The CISO will be responsible for the overall security posture of Groupon’s cloud ecosystem, ensuring compliance, mitigating threats, and building a resilient security infrastructure. He/She will lead security efforts across the organization, working closely with IT, InfoSec, and business teams to drive strategic initiatives and ensure the safety of Groupon's employees, consumers, and merchants.Responsibilities include:

• Developing and executing a comprehensive information security strategy.
• Establishing benchmarks and implementing security protocols.
• Introducing and overseeing threat monitoring systems.
• Developing and owning the Disaster Recovery Plan.
• Collaborating with IT and InfoSec teams to implement security supervision.
• Building and leading a high-performing security team.

Requirements include:

• 10+ years of experience in Information Security, including leadership roles.
• Expertise in regulatory frameworks (PCI DSS, SOC 2, GDPR) and cloud security, particularly in GCP.
• Demonstrated success in implementing and managing threat monitoring systems, disaster recovery, and incident response plans.
• Proven ability to manage network segmentation and integrate security measures into CICD processes using open-source tools like SonarQube.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Deep understanding of fraud prevention and vulnerability management.
