Groupon is seeking a Business Development Consultant to join their team. This hybrid role involves identifying and closing new business opportunities for local experiences on the Groupon platform. The consultant will receive hands-on sales training to develop skills in customer relationship building, sales strategy, and sales psychology.

Responsibilities:

  • Seeking out new business opportunities through cold calling and consultations.
  • Developing a deep understanding of merchant's business.
  • Applying deal structure and strategy to maximize profitability.
  • Leading contract negotiations.
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Working closely with Merchant Development teams.
  • Driving market growth by bringing in high-quality merchants and increasing revenue.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • 2-3 years of proven success in a sales role.
  • Experience in inside sales.
  • Understanding transactional selling and are comfortable working with SMB accounts.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting sales quotas and handling negotiations.
  • Strong sense of accountability and ability to deliver results.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and comfort with change.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is a plus.
