Job Description
Groupon is seeking a Business Developer & Key Account Manager to join their Groupon Goods team in Milan. This role involves sourcing and onboarding new vendors, as well as maintaining, optimizing, and scaling existing vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will be retail-savvy and manage all aspects of the vendor relationship, including purchase terms, cost negotiation, promotions, and product supply.
  • Sourcing new vendors and including their offers on the platform (50% of time)
  • Developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with approved vendors (50% of time)
  • Managing a vendor portfolio to grow and optimize sales
  • Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities
  • Analyzing market trends and competitors to develop strategic business plans
  • Negotiating terms and pricing with potential vendors
  • Helping vendors grow and unlock their potential, both locally and internationally
  • Monitoring and ensuring product availability to meet customer needs
  • Developing and implementing strategies to sell marketing assets to suppliers
  • Monitoring pricing and duplication, and addressing product quality issues
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Business Developer with successful negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Experience in trading across multiple countries
  • Knowledge of a marketplace model
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships, assortment planning, and portfolio management
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Deal Centre, Gsuite, Tablaeu, Commerce Interface, and Freshdesk
  • A Team Leader to guide and support you in your first steps at Groupon
