Lead Data Scraping & Enrichment Engineer – Growth & Lead Acquisition (Python, React..) at Groupon

Groupon is seeking a Lead Data Scraping & Enrichment Engineer to own the end-to-end LeadGen and Lead Allocation pipelines. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for ensuring high-quality leads flow from external sources to internal systems. The ideal candidate should be a flexible, business-savvy engineer comfortable working across various languages and adept at rapidly prototyping solutions.

This position offers the opportunity to be a “mini-CTO” for lead acquisition and enrichment processes, focusing on building and integrating data pipelines, orchestrating workflows, performing large-scale data transformations, and pivoting between technologies.

Role Involves:

• Architecting, developing, and maintaining microservices or stand-alone scripts for lead acquisition and data enrichment.
• Setting up and maintaining workflow orchestration using tools like Temporal, Airflow, or similar.
• Integrating with various external APIs and internal data warehouses for data acquisition and enrichment.
• Rapidly developing proof-of-concept solutions to validate business ideas.
• Containerizing applications using Docker and participating in CI/CD processes.
• Translating business objectives and lead-gen strategies into technical projects.
• Working with PostgreSQL or other relational databases for database management and analytics.
• Implementing secure coding patterns and championing clean coding standards.

Requirements:

• Comfort with multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, React, Java).
• Experience building RESTful APIs, data pipelines, and containerized microservices.
• Familiarity with data manipulation at scale.
• Knowledge of workflow orchestration platforms (Temporal, Airflow, or similar).
• Ability to understand growth objectives and translate them into actionable tech solutions.
• Comfortable making architecture decisions and justifying trade-offs.
