Groupon is seeking a Lead Data Scraping & Enrichment Engineer to own LeadGen and Lead Allocation pipelines. This role involves building and integrating data pipelines, orchestrating workflows, and performing large-scale data transformations. The ideal candidate will be flexible, business-savvy, and adept at rapidly prototyping solutions using various technologies including Java, Python, and TypeScript. They will work in close collaboration with product managers, marketing, and sales stakeholders. This role offers autonomy and the opportunity to impact Groupon's transformation.

The role involves:
  • Architecting, developing, and maintaining microservices or stand-alone scripts for lead acquisition and data enrichment.
  • Setting up and maintaining workflow orchestration using tools like Temporal, Airflow, or similar.
  • Integrating with various external APIs and internal data warehouses for data acquisition and enrichment.
  • Developing proof-of-concept solutions and iterating quickly based on feedback.
  • Containerizing applications using Docker and participating in CI/CD processes.
  • Translating business objectives into technical projects and serving as a technical advisor.
  • Working with databases such as PostgreSQL and BigQuery for data modeling and analytics.
  • Implementing secure coding patterns and championing clean coding standards.

Requirements:
  • Comfort with multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, React, Java).
  • Experience building RESTful APIs, data pipelines, and containerized microservices.
  • Familiarity with data manipulation at scale and workflow orchestration platforms.
  • Ability to understand growth objectives and translate them into actionable tech solutions.
  • Comfortable making architecture decisions and driving features from concept to completion.
  • Knowledge of SQL
