Job Description
Zenni Optical, committed to affordable eyewear, seeks a Surface Operator (Machine Operator) for their Obetz, Ohio location. This role is ideal for a motivated individual eager to learn and grow in the optical field. The Surface Operator will contribute to providing affordable glasses to people worldwide.
The role involves:
- Calibration of machines
- Light maintenance and maintaining of equipment
- Troubleshooting root cause issues
- Ensuring proper order flow throughout department
- Maintaining good housekeeping, 6S
- Ensuring daily / weekly / monthly goals are met
- Adherence to all company policies, processes, and procedures (i.e. Health & Safety Awareness)
- Reporting to management on activities and issues
- Inter-department running
Requirements:
- Ability to stand and move for duration of shift
- Strong organizational skills
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Proactive with a strong ability to identify & problem solve
- Ability to follow instructions and production schedules
