Job Description
Outset Medical, a medical device company revolutionizing dialysis, seeks a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). This role involves developing forecasting, budgeting, and analytical processes to support commercial and company-wide financial planning. This person drives insights across the Commercial org in support of revenue growth and operational efficiency, and bring a strong “return on spend” mindset.
Responsibilities
- Developing FP&A calendar, tools, and processes.
- Supporting the Commercial function.
- Leading the long-range financial planning process.
- Creating financial management reporting packages.
- Analyzing data to drive strategic decision-making.
- Preparing materials for the Board of Directors and investor relations.
- Supporting the monthly/quarterly close process.
- Implementing Financial Performance Management tools.
- Leading cross-functional teams.
- Providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Developing and maintaining financial models.
- Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborating with sales, marketing, and product teams.
- Supporting senior management with ad-hoc financial analyses.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent master’s degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 12-15 years of relevant work experience in commercial FP&A.
- Experience in a rapidly scaling public company.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong collaboration and critical thinking abilities.
