Payroll Accountant

Job Description

Outset Medical is seeking a Payroll Accountant to join their team in Tijuana, Mexico. The Payroll Accountant will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient payroll processing and financial reporting. This position supports the payroll process and is responsible for recording and posting payroll journal entries into financial systems.Outset Medical is a medical device company revolutionizing the field of dialysis. • Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Maintain general ledger accounts related to payroll expenses, benefits, and tax liabilities.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Support audits by preparing payroll-related documentation as needed.
• Serve as a backup for processing payroll, verifying payroll data, and ensuring accurate and timely employee payments.
• Process multi-state payroll accurately and on time using ADP Workforce Now.
• Manage employee data, payroll adjustments, and ensure accurate tax filings.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Payroll Audit
• AP support (review invoice, PO & receipt evidence, and documentation)

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field (required).
• Strong understanding of payroll accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now or other ADP products and managing multi-state payroll.
• Familiarity with accounting systems (QAD).
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Good English written and verbal communication skills.
