Field Service Engineer II (Bedford, PA)

Job Description

Outset Medical is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to be responsible for the installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of the Tablo Dialysis System. The Field Service Engineer will be a key face of Outset, providing exceptional customer support and applying basic engineering theory to diagnose issues and implement solutions.

The role involves:

• Providing on-demand technical support to customers.
• Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing Tablo Dialysis Systems.
• Performing scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Becoming a technical subject matter expert on the Tablo product.
• Completing field service and expense reports.
• Supporting Marketing and Sales for events.
• Providing feedback to R&D.
• Supporting the development of training and service materials.
• Documenting all service activities and maintaining spares inventory.

Requirements include:

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to charge travel expenses on a personal credit card.
• Associates degree (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Fluidics) strongly preferred or military equivalent.
• 2+ years Field Service experience in the Medical Equipment Industry preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret electronic and fluidics schematic diagrams and flowcharts.
• Excellent computer and technology skills.
