Legal Counsel at Auros

Auros, a leading algorithmic trading and market-making firm specializing in digital asset liquidity provision, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their team in Hong Kong. This role is crucial for supporting legal operations with a focus on compliance, contract management, and providing legal coverage.

The Legal Counsel will work closely with the Northern Hemisphere team, ensuring that Auros maintains regulatory standards and mitigates risks effectively.

Responsibilities Include:

• Managing Know Your Business (KYB) and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.
• Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various contracts.
• Providing legal support and coverage for the Northern Hemisphere team.
• Providing advice on crypto-related regulations and emerging legal issues.
• Developing and implementing internal legal policies and procedures.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address legal concerns and mitigate risks.
• Monitoring and analyzing regulatory developments in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry.
• Supporting the company's compliance efforts with AML and CTF regulations.

Requirements:

• Law degree from a reputable institution.
• 2-5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a multi-national organization, trading, or financial services sectors.
• Experience with KYC/KYB processes and compliance requirements.
• Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good initiative and personal resilience.
• Flexibility to occasionally work non-standard hours.
• Understanding of blockchain technology and digital assets is highly desirable.
