Job Description

CVX is seeking a Venture Scout to join its team in London. The Venture Scout will play a key role in sourcing attractive investment opportunities in their specialist fields. This is a great opportunity to learn and develop skills required to be in VC, meet entrepreneurial founders, and shape the future.

As a CVX Venture Scout, the individual will identify exciting startups, conduct research on them, and write investment memos. They may also present their findings to the CVX Investment Team.

The company aims to use the Venture Scout Programme to discover exceptional investment opportunities and gain a deeper understanding of potential team members. The Venture Scout Programme will be the first pool of resource CVX looks to hire from as it grows its Investment Team.

Responsibilities

• Identify exciting startups
• Speak with startups to understand their business
• Conduct research on startups, including their teams, markets, and competition
• Write 1-2 page proposal memos summarizing investment thesis
• Present investment thesis to the CVX Investment Team
