Venture Scout at CVX Ventures

CVX is seeking a Venture Scout to join its Venture Scout Programme. The Venture Scout will assist CVX in sourcing attractive investment opportunities in their specialist fields. This is not a full-time role, but CVX will provide remuneration based on success criteria.

The Venture Scout will learn and develop important VC skills, meet with entrepreneurial founders, and help shape the future. They will identify exciting startups, speak with them, and conduct research on their teams, markets, and competition. Based on their findings, they will write a proposal memo summarizing their investment thesis and present it to the CVX Investment Team.

CVX aims to use the Venture Scout Programme to discover exceptional investment opportunities and gain a deeper understanding of potential team members. The Venture Scout Programme serves as a pipeline for future hires to the CVX Investment Team.

The Venture Scout role involves:

• Identifying exciting startups
• Conducting research on teams, markets, and competition
• Writing proposal memos summarizing investment theses
• Presenting investment theses to the CVX Investment Team
