Director CVX Ventures Finland at CVX Ventures

CVX Ventures is seeking a Director to lead its Finnish division in Helsinki. The Director will be the first person on the ground, responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will be driven, resilient, and possess a natural ability to build trust and connect with people.

CVX Ventures is one of Europe's fastest-growing venture investors, aiming to be the largest by providing high-growth companies with capital, knowledge, and network. CVX invests with and through over 600 angel investor partners.

What the role involves:

• Defining and executing strategy and continuously adjusting.
• Leading the Finnish expansion including potential acquisitions.
• Being responsible for the Finnish profit & loss and overall operations.
• Being responsible for rapidly building a large and value-adding pool of partners.
• Hiring, developing and leading a top-notch team of 10-15 people.
• Finding and attracting the best investment cases.
• Leading end-to-end investment deals from deal sourcing to investment.
• Representing CVX at events, gatherings, conferences, etc.

Requirements:

• High work ethic with a strong sense of urgency.
• Unusually strong drive and desire to be the best.
• 5+ years of experience in venture capital, high-growth startups, or fast-paced environments.
• Proactive approach and ownership.
• Deep interest in venture capital and startups.
• People-oriented with the ability to bring people together.
• Ability to communicate effectively at management and board levels.
• Ability to win the trust of business leaders.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
• Natural ability to sell and work with sales strategically and operatively.
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams.
• Fluency in Finnish and English.
• Preferably, a network in the Finnish start-up ecosystem.
