CVX Ventures is seeking a Managing Director to build and lead their Swedish operations in Stockholm. This is a hands-on role, where the individual's initial focus will be on establishing and maintaining a strong sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting, and closing deals in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will be driven, proactive, and capable of building trust and relationships.

CVX is described as one of Europe's fastest-growing venture capital firms, aiming to become the largest venture investors by providing fast-growing companies with capital, knowledge, and networks. The firm operates with a network of over 600 partners who invest and contribute to companies where they can make a real difference. Currently, CVX consists of 20 individuals across Copenhagen, London, Oslo, and soon, Stockholm.

Role Involves:

• Developing and implementing strategies for the Swedish market.
• Leading expansion efforts in Sweden, including potential acquisitions.
• Managing the Swedish P&L and operational activities.
• Building a large and high-quality group of partners.
• Recruiting, developing, and leading a high-performing team.
• Identifying and attracting investment opportunities.
• Driving the investment process from prospecting to investment.
• Representing CVX at events and conferences.
• Reporting directly to the CEO.

Requirements:

• High work ethic and sense of urgency.
• Exceptional drive and desire to excel.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in venture capital, fast-growing startups, or dynamic environments.
• Proactive with the ability to take ownership.
• Strong interest in venture capital and startups.
• Ability to foster collaboration and trust.
• Effective communication skills at the management and board level.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Sales skills with a track record of exceeding revenue goals.
• Leadership experience, preferably with team leadership.
• Fluency in Swedish and English.
• Network within the Swedish startup ecosystem (a plus).
