Artefact is seeking a Lead Data Platform Engineer to join their team in Paris. This role involves working within multidisciplinary client teams on all aspects of data engineering. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships and supervising junior team members. This individual will leverage data to solve real-world problems across various sectors.

Responsibilities include:

• Working in agile teams with data experts and non-technical colleagues.
• Deploying software solutions to the cloud (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Implementing software using Python and SQL for application and data transformation development.
• Applying DevOps principles, including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Packaging applications in containers and implementing data observability enablers.
• Developing expertise in areas such as Software Development, Analytics Engineering, ML Engineering, Cloud Architecture, or Site Security & Reliability Engineering.

Requirements:

• Experience across the value chain of projects (infrastructure, data collection, ML models, REST APIs, TDD, CI/CD).
• Software engineering background with DevOps/DevSecOps experience.
• Proficiency in setting up and deploying ML models.
• Strong knowledge of Python and SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLServer).
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as GCP or AWS.
• Experience with big data and microservices technologies (Spark, Beam, Airflow, Docker).
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to business-oriented profiles.
• Strong prioritization skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Team management, coaching, and risk anticipation skills.
• Fluency in both English and French.
