Pharmacist - 2nd Shift (Job 873)

Job Description

DLH Corporation is seeking a Pharmacist to verify mail order prescriptions for veterans. This position is based in Ladson, South Carolina. The role does not involve any retail duties.

The pharmacist will work a full-time, second shift schedule from 3:30pm to 12 midnight, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include:

• Assessing drug orders and cross-matching with medications.
• Compounding and dispensing medications.
• Pre-verifying medications loaded into specialized equipment.
• Verifying and filling Controlled Substance orders.
• Performing Quality Assurance functions and supervising Pharmacy Technicians.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school or university.
• Hold a valid and unrestricted Pharmacist License in a U.S. state or territory.
• Minimum of one year of recent practical pharmacist experience (within the past two years).
• Ability to obtain VetPro certification.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods.
• Ability to meet required regular and overtime hours.
• Must be able to pass a Federal background check (no felony convictions) and drug screening (including THC).
