Job Description
DLH Corporation is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare and dispense mail-order prescriptions for veterans. This is a full-time, first-shift position (6:00 am - 12:30 pm, Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays) located in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Role Involves: - Preparing and dispensing medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Maintaining inventories of drugs and supplies and maintaining stock control.
- Operating various types of pharmacy automation.
- Filling and stocking medications.
Requirements: - Certification by the National Pharmacy Technician Board; OR six months of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting; OR graduation from an Academic Technician Training Educational Program.
- U.S. citizenship or proof of citizenship or legal residency in the United States.
- Must be 18 years old and a high school graduate or have GED.
- Ability to read and communicate in English.
- Understanding of basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, twist, and stoop; push or pull up to 150 pounds on a rolling cart or using a pallet jack.
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time performing repetitive motion.
- Ability to meet production/accuracy standards required by the facility.
- Ability to understand and meet all safety standards.
- Ability to meet all regular hours and overtime hours that are required by the facility.
- Ability to pass a Federal background check (no felony convictions).
- Ability to pass drug screening, including THC (marijuana).
