Team Lead (gn) – Transport & Export Operations

The Quality Group (TQG) is seeking a Team Lead (gn) – Transport & Export Operations to oversee the efficiency of goods transport and customs clearance. The role involves actively participating in product exports, ensuring team members efficiently and compliantly execute transport processes. This is a permanent position based in Elsdorf with hybrid options.

Responsibilities:

• Optimize transport processes with a focus on long-distance traffic and efficient use of vehicle capacities.
• Manage smooth customs clearance for import and export, especially for goods traffic to and from the UK.
• Lead and supervise a team of transport employees, setting clear goals, and overseeing training and performance.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal regulations, customs requirements, and internal guidelines governing transport activities, and maintain impeccable compliance standards.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners such as suppliers, transport service providers, and freight forwarders to efficiently manage national and international goods traffic.

Requirements:

• Completed training as a freight forwarding agent, a degree in supply chain management, or a comparable qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in customs and/or transport, ideally with experience in goods traffic to the UK.
• Familiarity with transport management systems and other relevant software applications.
• Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Structured, solution-oriented, and communicative work style.
• Proficiency in German and/or English.
