Cloud Engineer (gn) AWS & Azure at The Quality Group GmbH

The Quality Group (TQG) is seeking a Cloud Engineer to further develop their AWS and Azure cloud platforms. The Cloud Engineer will focus on providing a scalable, secure, and efficient environment for developers to work independently. This role involves creating technical foundations, developing standards and automations to enable self-service, and supporting teams in the secure operation of their cloud workloads. The Cloud Engineer will work on platform engineering, automation, and optimization of cloud resources.

Role Involves:

• Developing and optimizing the AWS and Azure cloud platform.
• Building and maintaining Terraform modules and automation solutions.
• Developing self-service approaches for efficient cloud resource management.
• Advising and supporting teams on cloud services and best practices.
• Identifying and implementing new technologies for platform improvement.
• Participating in cloud architecture and infrastructure initiatives.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in cloud engineering with AWS and Azure.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience with CI/CD Pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with AWS Organizations, Landing Zones, and Azure Management Groups.
• Knowledge of identity and access management, especially IAM in AWS and Entra ID.
• Experience with DNS management and network configuration in cloud environments.
• Independent, proactive, and capable of finding creative technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and enjoys cross-team collaboration.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Datadog (advantageous).
