[Vector North] Senior Gameplay Programmer at Vector North

Vector North, a part of KRAFTON, is seeking a Senior Gameplay Programmer to join their team in Prague. The ideal candidate will help turn creative visions into reality by implementing features, extending existing systems, and fixing bugs. This role involves close collaboration with team members from various disciplines, contributing to planning, estimation, and implementation discussions.

The Senior Gameplay Programmer will efficiently integrate and maintain gameplay features, integrate internal and third-party technologies, and work independently on assigned tasks. They will also cooperate with team members, identify technical debt, risks, and issues; providing related information to the team and leadership. This role requires active participation in code reviews, supporting a culture of ongoing feedback, and optimizing performance and stability.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently integrate and maintain desired features, especially in the gameplay area.
• Work on assigned implementation tasks mostly independently.
• Integrate internal or 3rd party technologies.
• Cooperate with other team members and help to estimate tasks.
• Identify and highlight technical debt, risks and issues.
• Participate in code reviews and peer programming to increase code quality.
• Support a culture of ongoing informal feedback.
• Work together with other team members to optimize performance and stability across disciplines.
• Document given parts of technology according to company standards.

Requirements:

• Several years of games industry programming experience.
• Experience in development with UE in C++.
• Experience developing multiplayer games.
• At least one specialization in a typical game development domain (Network, AI, Physics).
• Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.
• High level goal oriented approach.
• Communication in verbal and written English.
• Self-motivation, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently.
• Collaborative mindset.
