Investment Manager - Japan

Job Description

Peak Energy is seeking an Investment Manager to handle financial modeling for its operations and renewable projects in Japan. The Investment Manager reports to the Regional Finance Director and Country Head of Japan.Responsibilities include:

• Managing financial models for current and future projects.
• Supporting M&A transactions in Japan.
• Deal structuring and due diligence.
• Working on project bankability aspects.
• Leading financial planning, structuring, negotiating, and closing of non-recourse project finance.
• Monitoring the performance of operating projects according to budget.
• Assisting in setting up local operations.
• Creating and receiving approval for mid-term plan for the Country.
• Complying with statutory timelines & requirements for local corporate entities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in project finance, preferably with substantial experience in renewable energy.
• Proven track record of successful project finance and/or M&A closings.
• Strong background in financing, tax, accounting, financial modelling, and contract analysis.
• Bilingual in Japanese and English.
