Job Description
Veeam, the leading provider of data resilience solutions, is seeking a Veeam Backup for Linux Engineer to join their Technical Customer Support team. This role involves providing exceptional technical support to customers, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring their data is protected and accessible.
Responsibilities:
- Performing troubleshooting and analysis, including log file investigation.
- Acting as a technical focal point in relationships to fellow IT Professionals.
- Taking ownership of customer issues from start to resolution.
- Troubleshooting Veeam and 3rd party components.
- Documenting customer interactions accurately.
Requirements:
- Fluent English (reading/writing/speaking).
- System administration skills.
- Strong TCP/IP knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of Linux-based OS.
- Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining services on Linux-based OS.
- Familiarity with Nutanix AHV hypervisor and related technologies.
- Familiarity with Oracle database concepts.
- Familiarity with Oracle RMAN tool.
- Familiarity with Oracle RAC concepts.
- Familiarity with SAP HANA database concepts.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (bash, Python).
- Familiarity with security concepts (firewalls, access control).
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and explain technical information.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
