Veeam, the global leader in data protection and ransomware recovery, is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to identify and qualify new account opportunities. The SDR will use phone, email, social media, and chat to connect with prospects and foster meaningful interactions.

The SDR will work under supervision to generate new demand, qualify marketing-generated demand, and nurture prospects. They will also track and manage account information in Salesforce and engage in productive conversations with target buyer personas.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new demand for the channel and sales team.
  • Qualify marketing-generated demand before passing to sales reps or account executives.
  • Identify and reach out to additional decision-makers and share findings with sales.
  • Nurture prospects using various touch tactics to gauge interest.
  • Comply with demand management service-level agreements.
  • Track and manage account info and activities in Salesforce.
  • Engage in productive conversations with target buyer personas.
  • Make a high volume of outbound calls.
  • Maximize Veeam product coverage within a defined region.
  • Coordinate sales activities within the Veeam team.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Veeam products and their benefits.
  • Meet monthly KPIs (e.g., leads converted, leads generated, meetings set).
  • Participate in ongoing enablement around product releases, marketing updates, sales methodology and customer buying behaviors.

Requirements:

  • Professional level of English and French required
  • Bachelor’s Degree (a combination of education and experience will be considered)
  • Previous sales experience, ideally of high-tech products/services, is a plus
  • Outbound calling and/or Revenue Development Representative experience is a plus
  • Technical education and technology understanding of storage backup, cloud backup and the key manufacturers in the industry that Veeam works with is preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in roles and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of basic business research tools (LinkedIn, Google, Salesforce or similar CRM, Hoovers)
  • Excellent correspondence skills (Outlook, Instant Messaging, and over the phone)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent French and English
