Veeam, the leading data protection and ransomware recovery provider, is seeking an Observability Engineer to join their team in Bucharest, Romania. The Observability Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and developing the observability infrastructure and pipelines to support development teams.

The candidate will work with advanced observability tools and collaborate with various teams to ensure system stability and performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with observability tools
  • Maintaining and developing observability infrastructure and pipelines for development teams
  • Software management and orchestration (ELK, VictoriaMetrics, PagerDuty, Opentelemetry, Grafana etc)
  • System troubleshooting and problem-solving across applications

Requirements:

  • Linux administration skills
  • Understanding observability (tracing, logging, monitoring)
  • Scripting and automation skills
  • Solid understanding and experience working with high availability, high performance, multi-data center systems
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues ranging from system resources
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible
  • Experience with ELK, VictoriaMetrics/Prometheus, PagerDuty, Opentelemetry
  • English communication skills (writing and reading)
