Veeam, the leading provider of data protection and ransomware recovery solutions, is seeking a Licensing Analyst to join their Corp Tech, Licensing and SAM team. The role is based in Bucharest, Romania. The Licensing Analyst will be responsible for managing software licenses, ensuring compliance, and supporting software procurement activities.

The Licensing Analyst will work closely with software vendors, internal teams, and IT infrastructure to optimize software use and resolve any licensing-related issues.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing relationships with software vendors and handling contract renewals
  • Assisting the company’s SAM function to ensure proper ordering, tracking, optimization and rebilling of software assets
  • Conducting and analyzing software inventory results
  • Examining license terms and maintaining a knowledge base on software licensing
  • Supporting software procurement by reviewing contracts and handling internal order processing
  • Monitoring software compliance and addressing compliance issues
  • Supporting employees and IT infrastructure in the context of licensing: monitor software deployment, analyze requirements, find suitable licensing solution

Requirements:

  • Advanced English skills for interpreting licensing documentation and communication
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Understanding of key IT technologies and processes
  • Experience with software licensing, SAM, IT consulting, IT procurement or technical support
