Platform Engineer, SaaS at Veeam Software

Veeam, a leader in data protection and ransomware recovery, is seeking a Platform Engineer to contribute to the infrastructure used to develop, test, and run Veeam Data Cloud products. These products are purpose-built for Salesforce and Kubernetes, ensuring top-tier security and excellence. This role involves collaborating with a remote team of engineers to build the VDC platform, using a modern technology stack based on containers, serverless infrastructure, public cloud services, and other cutting-edge technologies.

The role involves:

• Writing and maintaining code to automate public cloud infrastructure, software delivery pipeline, other enablement tools, and internally consumed platform services.
• Documenting system design, configurations, processes, and decisions.
• Collaborating with a remote team.
• Participating in an on-call rotation for product operations.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in production operations for a SaaS or cloud service provider.
• Experience automating infrastructure through code using technologies such as Pulumi or Terraform.
• Experience with GitHub Actions.
• Experience with a breadth and depth of public cloud services.
• Experience building and supporting enterprise SaaS products.
• Understanding of the principles of operational excellence in a SaaS environment.
• Scripting skills in languages like Bash or Python.
• Understanding and experience implementing secure design principles in the cloud.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• A bias toward action and direct communication.
• A university degree in a technical field.
