Platform Engineer, SaaS

Job Description

Veeam, a global leader in data resilience, is seeking a Platform Engineer to contribute to the infrastructure used to develop, test, and run Veeam Data Cloud products, which are purpose-built for Salesforce and Kubernetes. The Platform Engineer will ensure top-tier security and excellence.

The role involves:

• Writing and maintaining code to automate public cloud infrastructure and software delivery pipelines.
• Documenting system design, configurations, processes, and decisions.
• Collaborating with a remote team of engineers to build the VDC platform.
• Working with a modern technology stack including Kubernetes, Azure AKS, AWS EKS, Helm, Docker, and Terraform.
• Participating in an on-call rotation for product operations.

Veeam requires candidates to have:

• 3+ years of experience in production operations for a SaaS or cloud service provider.
• Experience automating infrastructure through code using technologies such as Pulumi or Terraform.
• Experience with GitHub Actions.
• Experience with a breadth and depth of public cloud services.
• Experience building and supporting enterprise SaaS products.
• Understanding of operational excellence in a SaaS environment.
• Scripting skills in languages like Bash or Python.
• Understanding and experience implementing secure design principles in the cloud.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• A bias toward action and direct communication.
• A university degree in a technical field.
