Platform Engineer, SaaS at Veeam Software

Veeam, a global leader in data protection and ransomware recovery, is seeking a Platform Engineer to join their team in Warsaw, Poland. This role will contribute to the infrastructure used to develop, test, and run Veeam Data Cloud products, ensuring top-tier security and excellence. The Platform Engineer will collaborate with a remote team to build the VDC platform, working with a modern technology stack including Kubernetes, Azure AKS, AWS EKS, Helm, Docker, Terraform, and Golang.

The role involves:

• Writing and maintaining code to automate public cloud infrastructure and software delivery pipelines.
• Documenting system design, configurations, processes, and decisions.
• Collaborating with a remote team of engineers.
• Working with a modern technology stack.
• Participating in on-call rotation for product operations.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in production operations for a SaaS or cloud service provider.
• Experience automating infrastructure through code (e.g., Pulumi or Terraform).
• Experience with GitHub Actions.
• Experience with public cloud services.
• Experience building and supporting enterprise SaaS products.
• Understanding of operational excellence principles in a SaaS environment.
• Scripting skills in languages like Bash or Python.
• Understanding of secure design principles in the cloud.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• A university degree in a technical field.
