Senior Software Developer, Kasten at Veeam Software

Veeam, the leading data protection and ransomware recovery provider, is seeking a Senior Software Developer for their Veeam Kasten data management platform. This platform is designed for Kubernetes and offers an easy-to-use, scalable, and secure system for backup and restore, disaster recovery, and application mobility.

The Senior Software Developer will contribute to ensuring top-tier security and excellence within the platform. The role involves owning significant features, collaborating with distributed teams, and contributing to the cloud-native open-source community.

Responsibilities:

• Owning significant features in the Veeam Kasten product
• Designing, developing in Go, and testing functionalities related to backup and recovery of Kubernetes applications, databases, and storage systems
• Collaborating with distributed teams across different time zones and regions
• Working with and contributing to the cloud-native open-source community
• Preparing technical documentation and specifications

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience developing enterprise solutions in a high-level programming language such as C++, Java, or C#, with a willingness to code in Go
• Experience with distributed system concepts and client-server architectures
• Expertise in developing, testing, and debugging production-quality, scalable, multi-threaded, and concurrent systems
• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and concurrency
• A university degree in a technical field or equivalent industry experience
• English proficiency sufficient to communicate with international teams
