Job Description
XPENG, a smart technology company specializing in AI and autonomous driving, is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer. The engineer will focus on research, development, and implementation of deep learning algorithms for end-to-end autonomous driving. This role involves collaboration with a team of experts to advance autonomous vehicle performance using real-world multimodal data. Responsibilities:
- Research and develop deep learning algorithms for end-to-end onboard models.
- Research and develop Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models for multimodal decision-making.
- Design and optimize neural network architectures for real-time execution.
- Develop and scale offline ML infrastructure for rapid model adaptation.
- Deliver production-quality onboard software in collaboration with other teams.
- Leverage real-world datasets for training and refining end-to-end driving models.
- Design and analyze large-scale experiments to benchmark model performance.
- Collaborate with system software engineers to deploy deep learning models on embedded hardware.
- Work cross-functionally with AI researchers and autonomous driving engineers.
Requirements:
- MS or PhD in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience in applied deep learning, including model architecture design and training.
- 1-3+ years of experience with DL frameworks such as PyTorch and Tensorflow.
- Strong Python programming experience with software design skills.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and large-scale data processing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
