Machine Learning Engineer - LLM, AI & Robotics

XPENG, a smart technology company focused on AI and autonomous driving, is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join their team. This role involves fine-tuning pre-trained LLMs for applications in Humanoid Robots and Autonomous Driving Cars. The candidate will work on efficient LLMs deployable locally, develop and maintain LLM training and deployment pipelines, and explore methods to leverage large-scale datasets and synthetic data. They will also collaborate with different teams to align on product needs.

Responsibilities:

• Fine-tune pre-trained LLMs for specific use cases.
• Develop efficient LLMs for local deployment.
• Maintain LLM training and deployment pipelines.
• Leverage large-scale datasets and computational resources.
• Generate synthetic data to improve diversity and quality.
• Align with different teams on product needs.

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field.
• Solid background in machine learning, NLP, computer vision, speech, or data.
• Experience working with LLMs.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience with deep learning frameworks.
• Open-minded, collaborative, and excellent communication skills.
• Deep understanding of language model modern architectures.
• Familiarity with LLM technologies like SFT, RLHF, prompt engineering, and RAG.
• Record of publications, innovations, or leadership.
